Hello! Here’s unlimited, the most active mod (and for now, the only one).
I’m posting to gather some feedback from active users here. What do you think about updating the timer version and keeping just a clean and current leaderboard? If any map undergoes a change or revamp, its leaderboard would be reset. Another option could be switching the timer version to "era", which would involve archiving both New (v1) and Old v2. This way, we could keep the old runs intact and set New v2 as "current." If a map gets revamped, we could roll back the era from "current" to "old" for that map and continue doing so in the future.
These are experimental changes that could have both positive and negative impacts on the site. As always, I’m trying to make the best decisions for the site and the community. I’m all ears for your thoughts. If anyone has other ideas, feel free to share. There’s no set deadline for this post, so let’s take it easy and go step by step. I’m eager to hear from you.
Unrelated but I think the amount of FPS categories is unecessary, past 120/144 FPS and there won't be any significant change in the physics. As for this timer thing, I believe just keeping a current leaderboard is better. Imo its sort of a mess to navigate right now and has been for a while. Not really an active user, but I wanted to share my thoughts.
I understand your point, but the variety of FPS categories allows more players to find a fair space to compete, even if the differences in physics are minimal. Also, keeping them doesn't affect those who prefer to focus only on the main categories (60 fps)
As for the timer versioning system, the idea is precisely to prevent navigation from being a mess. With this organization, there aren't as many abandoned corners on the page and it's easier to find the relevant clues instead of them being scattered.
