Meow. The final Individual Master run has been pushed to sub-hour.
I held the Kat% Deluxe world record for a whole year (partly because no one that respects themself would run this willingly). I really wanted to make the sub-hour happen. Had actually thought about doing it for a couple months but Anygeorge getting the penultimate IM sub-hour spurred me to jump into action. Took some real heartbreak and tough pushing but I got it. A 1:01:51 with 2 long losses on Zen Frog (10-5) to then a 1:00:37 with a loss on 10-1 to another sub-hour pace run which lost on the last orange of Zen Frog. Constantly kept showing it was doable but messing up at a some late game point. It hurt. I nearly completely gave up. But was determined knowing how doable it was.
Ended up achieving this after waking up from a nap and knowing I had to be at PoetryStud's Sunday D&D session within an hour or so. I actually had to message him around 9-3 to tell him I would be late by about 15 minutes since it was about to start. I was also watching HeliosWx, another person in Poetry's campaign, stream his first playthrough of Sekiro in the background while I played my own music.
But yeah, as for the run itself, solid. Slow here and there, but what would you expect using the slowest master. It was a flawless run, an extremely clutch final shot on Zen Frog (if I hadn't got that...) and getting the helix (11-5) 1 shot in my 4th try. I was very unsure about what strategy to approach the helix as most would do the L9 L15 strats, but there's also a way to use the pyramid to bounce in. But I settled for just brute forcing the 1 shot and thankfully it worked out.
What an awesome achievement, and probably the last big main board peggle achievement I'll achieve considering how far everything has come.
