Hey! welcome to the No Man's Sky speedrun page. No Man's Sky, not unlike Minecraft, has both a lot of space for beginners and pros alike, due to its partly RNG-dependent nature, but there's a lot of skill involved too!
We have tried our best to lower the barrier of entry into this community.
For instance, creative runs can be done, removing the need to gather materials. If a runner wishes to step it up a notch, they can do normal mode runs. For the true hardcore experience, runners can play in survival or permadeath mode.
One important rule: please please please include the creation of a new save in the video of your run. Otherwise, it will be invalid.
We recommend starting with two runs!
Space Station!
This run is simple. reach your first space station as fast as possible. Make sure to end your timer the second you leave your ship!
Volcano
This run can ONLY be done in Origins. it is also important to note that most people do not start a run with the intention to do a volcano run. Most of the time they are gearing up for ship% and see an opportunity to jump into a volcano like an idiot.
Anyway. From a fresh save die in a volcano ASAP. That's literally it.
"Levels"
You can also go for certain milestones! This is a beta feature on out board, and only 3 milestones are currently supported. They are:
- Naturalist - Discover all species on one planet
- Magnate - Get 2,000,000 units
- Ambassador - Speak to 80 aliens.
You can get them by clicking "Level Leaderboard". Normal game rules apply.
