I wanna be very clear, not an accusation of cheating or anything. I got acouple 3:2X's early on myself, but for hours I've been unable to get past like 3:50 at best, and watching the WR video, I just do not understand how they are going so fast. It's not just the lucky items they get. I made this video to compare the beginning, getting the exact same boosts, trying to replicate WR as much as possible to try and understand what I'm missing, and I still don't get it. I'm losing my mind.
Here's a video of me trying Citra and noticing the game speed went up to 105 without me touching it, then suddenly getting 3:10s
After playing more on a real 3DS, I realize the problem was somehow both emulators I was using. Still not sure why, but at least I can properly compete now with a real 3DS.
It’s still hit or miss on real hardware. Booted it up and getting slow speeds once again. :(
I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! IT'S MFING DIFFICULTY. Difficult affects speed, and even though timed doesn't have a difficulty option, it'll copy previous modes, so you have to go into a mode with difficulty, play a second on Scarifying, and then exit to timed mode, and suddenly you're going faster.... my gosh.
