I think it’d be fair to have them split up, so there’s more opportunity to those without access to a better system to run in these categories.

I don't understand. we remove loads so hardware doesn't have an effect on the run. and for longer categories we split by input so disadvantaged inputs don't have to compete with others.

having a split for pc, console, and mobile will just make leaderboards emptier for no reason

Well, maybe the input could be split for more/every category instead of what I suggested.

some categories just don't get enough runs to warrant the leaderboard to be split into thirds, and some aren't advantaged very much by using different input splits. it's also hard to go through every single run on the leaderboards to see whether they use touchscreen, kbm, or controller.
