I have a story to tell. I spent almost a year attempting to get this game to run on my computer. I have a top-of-the-line gaming PC, but for some reason Garfield Kart, of all games, wouldn't open. Every time I clicked play, it would crash before the window opened leaving me in a perpetual loop of having to reinstall Steam, because Garfield Kart wouldn't show up in Task Manager, but the Steam application thought it was running and wouldn't let me close or uninstall it. I FINALLY get the game to run for a SINGLE GAME SESSION and recorded this run. I kept the game open for two days while I did work in other windows. So, I could unlock the Ice-Cream Cup, when I had time, in order to do a proper run. I finally get this run recorded and decide to try and improve upon my time, since it's not that great. So, I spent another two days solid doing speedruns. During a run that was sub 42 minute pace, the game crashed on the second to last level of the Ice-Cream Cup and I can't get it to open again. So, unless I get a new PC, this will be all I can manage. Thank you for reading the story of my emotional journey to become a Garfield Kart Speedrunner.
