Recently, the game's rules have been rewritten to improve readbility and adjust the new structure of the leaderboards.
To sum up main points:
- Except for Lilac Unrestricted, all runs must maintain a stable 60FPS. Changing the framerate or v-sync settings during the run is not allowed
- Except for Lilac Unrestricted, all runs must be played on the latest version available for your platform.
- Lilac's IL leaderboards are now splitted as well, so you can submit to either "Standard" or "Unrestricted". If you're not playing the latest version, or you're using a framerate other than 60FPS, please submit to "Unrestricted".
- For Carol, Milla and Neera, "Unrestricted" is not supported, due to lack of interest and no major advantage of runs done on older versions.
Enforcing 60FPS only has fallen through. Although full game boards have been split for a while, the individual level boards have not, leading to potential confusion, but have remained as they are due to the sheer amount of them and lack of competition.
However, until the definitive patch of FP2 comes out, we do not have an established plan of what to do with the situation yet.
For now - you can submit any FPS with a counter being optional, but please try to state framerate so in your description/title for future reference. You can still only change the framerate in-game.
this game has too many physics bugs relating to framerate so it's been decided that you gotta play at 60FPS and you gotta have a visible FPS counter when you run. making this a news post to hopefully make it so slightly fewer people miss this rule (people are totally gonna miss it)
You can enable a framerate display via the Steam overlay settings.
