I have thought about speedrunning the PS2 version of Frogger: The Great Quest. I might upload a run someday.
I'm going to practice a little bit tonight. The only problems with speedrunning this game is that the load times are really long and the room where Princess Dar is hiding in the Catacombs is randomly generated... I think.
I think I found a new speedrunning trick. In the second level, you can skip two conversations and get the honey right at the start of the level by simply killing the bees. However, I can't test this because I lost my disc. I'll have to find it later.
Whenever I play this game, I just feel sick. I honestly think that if they fixed just a few of the major glitches, it could have been a decent platformer.
Alright, I figured out two things. One of which is a new strat. 1 - The room Princess Dar is in is not random. She is in the same room every time. Also, I think if you go to the door after finding her too fast, she just doesn't show up. Also, I have possibly discovered a new strat for Dr. Starkenstein's Castle. I think zooming in and spitting at the blue things is actually faster than searching out all of them and hitting them.
Also, I got a new copy of the game for PS2 (my old copy would crash after Cat Dragon's Lair). The good thing about my new copy is not only does CDL not crash, but the load times are also two times faster than they were on my old copy.
dude ... you dug out this 2month old thread to post a damn ROUTE update in the general forums? wow
