Because of the difficult as heck end game, could we recommend a category where you don't have to finish the course?
I was thinking (because you beat the game eiether way) you don't have to get all of the prizes, and just have the timer stop after it says "____ YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME" and you shouldn't have to beat the last part since it's more of a bonus if any.
I don't see that as a good enough reason to warrant an entirely different category because even though you take out the obstacle course, you are still having to compete with everyone else whether it's there or not. Every run on the current board would be eligible for both categories. It would just be a bit repetitive.
As for why it's required to complete the obstacle course, I really can't answer that because I didn't make that rule but I can try to explain why. Double Dare is timed using real time. Why it should be completed is because it's faster to do that than running the clock out. The end result is the same whether you complete it or not. So that part of the rule could be changed to just be when the time runs out or if you finish the course. With that said, the best I've been able to do is have 7 seconds remaining at the end. The TAS has 17 seconds. The current record by ShesChardcore had 1 second remaining. My good obstacle course got beaten by the questions.
Hopefully this was helpful!
