I’ve done a few runs of this game, most of which have ended up in the 1:50-2:15 range, and I’ve been playing the the Easy difficulty. Is this allowed?

Side note: are DLC characters (Quote, Josef, Spelunky, Dr. Fetus and Raz) allowed as well? They don’t change the gameplay at all, they’re purely cosmetic.

One last thing to note is that I’m playing on the Wii U version, because the load times are significantly faster than my PC trying to record it.

Not a mod, but I don't see why any of what you mentioned would be against the rules. As long as you mark the right platform. Can you come up with any reason why any of that could be against the rules?

Not really, I just know that people can be a little bit touchy about certain things.

Easy difficulty is allowed, if the community wants we can add sub-categories for the different difficulties. DLC characters are also fine as they indeed do not affect gameplay. We can also add the different platforms if the community would like, but from what I have tested there hasn't been much differences across them overall.
