I recently had my N64 set up so it can run on an HDTV, and I finally got to play Battletanx again. Both to relive the amazing moments, and to give a shot at speedrunning to one of my fav N64 games.

After checking out the number 1 on the leaderboard, I noticed he seems to be going much faster than I was. I even compared it to the 2nd runner up, MeridianPrime, and his was also around my slower speed as well. I'm not sure if this is an emulator thing or something else.

Can anyone else confirm if there is a way to move at the speed Ac_143 did?

EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about the tank speed itself, not the actual time of the finished speedrun.

Ahhh I see. Never knew that. Also explains why you had a harder time turning around to get items behind you. I'll have to keep it in mind for when I speed run this.

Thanks! Honestly I don't plan to do a whole lot for speedrunning myself. This is a game series that's really stuck with me as a kid, so that's the main reason why I was curious to try and go for the record since I got a N64 to work with my HDTV. Yes there is still room for improvement for sure. But after restarting dozens of times, I need a break for now. :P

Couldn't have done it without your help on the control stick reset, as well as looking over your own video for strats that you used.
