I think that game gear version of the game should be added. i was surprised to not find it anywhere :D

That's true, we should consider the Game Gear port! the game has the same music, sprites and game play, but the levels are totally different.

I think we have 2 options

1. have the same leaderboard for both SMS and GG
2. create a totally separate leaderboard for GG

I would probably vote for option 1, it's the same game title ("Tom and Jerry: The Movie") and it will make this leaderboard more active! What do you think?

Idk how it works for other games and how things like these are decided in speedrun.com ^^

Personally think 1 makes sense. I dont speedrun really (other than d2 in the past) but i enjoy watching, so i thought someone from here may be interested in running (when i saw there is this kind of hidden game and nobody runs it) :D

I"m pretty sure speedrun.com (SRC) doesn't mind, it's up to the community. Speaking of that, there is a discord for tom & jerry, I will ask over there too.

I might try to run it some day, it looks better than the SMS port. you give a try too!

I just gave a quick try, the contols/physics are different: Tom cannot run and there is a "jump attack". So yes it feels like a totally different game
