Hey there, souls of the damned!

I've been speedrunning Thrill Kill on and off for a year or two, over the past half-year or so there's been an issue with moderator inactivity. One of the previous moderators appears to have left the site entirely, and the remaining super moderator DrGrumble, after messaging them through DMs, requested that he be removed as a moderator and I take his place.

I appreciate the opportunity, since I've been wanting to completely renovate this leaderboard for quite some time. Everything is currently buried under variables and menus to the point that people looking at the page don't see a single submitted run until they change at least two drop-down boxes.

My first order of business is to completely re-write the rules for speedrunning Thrill Kill. In the next couple days (this post is being written on October 4th, 2023), expect a lot of changes both to the layout, rules, and categories.

My list of goals includes:

• Re-write the category rules to clearly specify game options that must be used for a run to be legal (power level, counters on, etc).
• Consolidate all the career mode runs together into a single leaderboard. There really isn't a need to have separate leaderboards for each character, and then further leaderboards for difficulty.
• Change the timing of career mode runs to not include loading screen. This will allow emulator players to use tools to speed up their disc speed for less loading times, while still allowing players who wish to use real hardware to use that without having a severe disadvantage.
• Add links and resources to help people set up Thrill Kill and be ready to submit times.
• Aesthetic stuff, including making new assets for the page (changing the background, SRC logo image, etc).
