Moved to Glitchless - All Main Quests, since the runs fits those rules better (it's more restricted than Glitchless Any%) :)
Dolphin is not allowed for leaderboard submissions, the only emulator that is currently allowed is Project 64 1.6/1.7 (see game rules).
Wii VC is fastest for most categories, but N64 is still fast in a few categories (where v1.0 specific glitches come in handy). Overal Wii VC is your best option, and is faster by a few minutes in most categories. Wii U VC is actually faster than Wii VC, but has a lot of input lag. Therefore people hardly use it.
It is technically possible to run Wii VC on the Wii U (Virtual Wii), and I think we would count that as Wii VC on the leaderboards. If you have more questions be sure to join the Discord, people are usually very fast at answering questions there! https://discord.com/invite/7FYGh3d
This kinda feels like a slap in the face after removing the feedback topic and not responding to all the feedback everyone has been sending...
I took a look at the Ocarina of Time run, and it turns out that it was automatically moved from the ZeldaSpeedruns board and belongs to a user called ChaoticAce (that went by 'Ace' on the ZSR boards). The run has been edited:)
Good idea. In addition, I think we should be able to link to racetime.gg profiles.
That's not a glitch, it's just a backflip onto the spikes
For a PAL Wii, you need to get AnyRegionChanger and set the video mode to NTSC to get the correct frame rate. If you have more questions I'd recommend joining the OoT discord, it's way more active there:)
As mentioned on the discord (and in the rejection message), your first run was accepted so it wasn't needed to submit it a second time:)
This category already exists (but ends on collecting Ocarina of Time) and can be found on the extension leaderboards: https://www.speedrun.com/ootextras
The best way to contact the OoT community is via our Discord (linked in Resources). If you post something about it there, you might get more reactions. :)
I used this guide to 'patch' the wad so it would work well with a PAL Wii. It worked perfectly for me, all the sound distortion was gone. I only tried it for OoT however, don't know if it works on MM.
