I wanted to start a discussion about ILs, because they are the hot debate topic right now on the discord. I want to allow people to discuss just openly and randomly, so here you go. I personally think they are fine btw.

like I said, the main reason I personally argue against splitting is that there are simply not enough console players to make a category. When we see more console players I think splitting would be a good idea.

The only way to become a verifier is to apply when the form drops in the discord server.

I don't think Emulator and Console should be split because certain categories call for different optimal playing enviroments. For example, you would want to play a shorter category like 5 Recipes or 10 Recipes on Emu because the route requires more jittering and more endurance. However, most other categories require precision, like All Gold to beat them. Not only that, but the DS is much easier to hold during a long play session. And about the Jittering in BAP%, its not really that bad if you know what youre doing and have played a lot of DS or 3DS games.

Splitting would also be pretty bad for the leaderboard itself. There simply arent enough console runners for new people in the community to want to play on console because it would be less competitive.

The console hardware is much better suited for speedrunning because remember, THE GAME WAS DESIGNED FOR IT. Please don't split the categories yet. Later down the line, when there are more people playing on console, I will be all for it. But not now.
