I would consider it not a viable option.
You call the run Agito which is a difficulty setting. You should not be allowed to change difficulty at all.
Everything available to you on that difficulty you can use for the run. Lowering or even raising the difficulty to get a summon in this case I would say is not allowed because technically it doesn't exist in that difficulty unless you are doing NG+.
If that makes sense. I would say no Shiva is not allowed on Agito.
Ok, I was only curious because I talked to a runner from another Tales game about changing the difficulty to easy. His response was it was not allowed. Maybe he meant you were not allowed to change in during the game?
So if you do decide on separating the difficulties I guess you would make a rule to not allow changing it during a run? Or how would you go about that?
Ok cool. So is this run on Easy difficulty then for any% I assume?
Hello. I was thinking about picking up this game myself. For now I will be using the 360 version.
I was just wondering are there any rules or glitches (if there are any) banned in this run? If so why? Any information would be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks, Soulcrusher842
Just wanted to make a new thread if anyone wants to add some tech or new route strategies for other runners to look at.
In the PC NG Any% I stumbled on this accidentally. Apparently you can do some paralysis skips on the Mission Operation MA Demolition where you need to get a card from the guards and then access the computer. I haven't messed around with it at all but if someone wants to there can be some time saved at least on that mission anyways. Maybe half a minute or so which is including the 3 rooms. Here is my highlight of it. www.twitch.tv/soulcrusher842/v/15743601
Another strategy that might be good is using Ifrit for Qator Bashtor 2 if anyone has not already done this. Ifrit's auto attack move tracks well for the easy hits on the kill-sites. My fastest fight with him from messing around was 52 seconds from just messing around and good RNG.
I'm going to take a break from this for a little bit and come back later to improve my time. Hopefully more runners will pick this game up and find some new tech. Would be interesting to see what people find.
Thanks.
Yeah I agree.... NG+ Any% is just a run and shoot. Really nothing interesting in terms of execution or strategy imo. No need to wait for kill sites and all that.
It would be interesting to see it be done on Finis difficulty.
True that is the definition of any%. But if you are going to run a game you would want to go by the rules set by that community.
Personally I don't see any huge benefits from this glitch. The stat gains are minimal. Only reason I see atm is the AP gains to learn abilities early. Another downside is it can only be done on 1 character at a time.
Leveling glitch involves leaving the game and changing the clock on your hardware (console). So I can see and agree why this would be banned.
