Well, the best way is to watch pb's from this game. In my video you can see it exactly on minute 6:37. You have to get Sonic aligned diagonally, rather than parallel to the squares, right before the jump. Once on the boss's hands just press forward and jump. Look at the shadow movement during the hits, that's the direction you must take before the damage boost.

So, 100% will be a thing from now on. Cool.

Hey there! On steam version you can only save 5 levels to practice individually. I'd say to save gene gadget and panic puppets (both acts) plus volcano 1 or 2. Rusty Ruin kills a ton of runs, but you'll get a lot of them making it to that level since it's the second one. For more info check the best runs for this game to learn some minor shortcuts.

I'd say it's ok to use that, even tho that's not something i'm familiar with. But as long as it's reliable in terms of time you'll be just fine with that.

Well, it is. In fact there are some videos from VoidedDarkness (Kurayami now) doing it, but it's not a popular category just like the game.
