Nice run! A couple of tips if you end up doing more runs:
On allergic cliffs, the top path is shorter. Always try that first.
On Stone cold caves, the lower left cave is fastest, hope for that one.
Frogs sucks, practice is really the only thing that can help aside from being methodical and sending one 'category' of frogs at a time. (color, shape, lily pad)
This is just a me thing: But I play on windowed mode so that way I can move the mouse faster in-game, and so I can see more of the Frog board at once. fully optional.
I think I understand? I think those rules could be worded a bit better, especially because I don't think it's exactly 'new' anymore, which is especially confusing.
Also is there interest in the difference between Dupes and no dupes? Especially because Dupes by these rules are allowed in the 'no' section anyway
And perhaps we could name the categories differently to be more approachable, like for example, 'normal' and 'overgifted dupes' 'overgifted no dupes'
I was thinking about doing some IL runs just to fill out the board a bit, bc it looks lonely, but I don't know what the No/Yes section means. I thought No meant no gifts, but then I saw a run that did use a gift and got confused. What does this category section mean?
Are there plans to add an alternate leaderboard for Dax?
The tech you've found already helping out! I'm gonna have to start running again, I kinda took a break after this route, but nothing like a lil friendly competition to encourage me!
I remember theorizing that this could even take 24 hours, but wow, just 7 hours. I wonder how far down this can go!
So one thing I did to make my movement faster in the game in general was I windowed the game, so the game itself is smaller, and less movement of my hand is needed. I still missed a lot of my inputs, so it's probably a double edged sword, but it might be worth trying.
Well done! The frogs always give me trouble as well, it's a good one to practice if you want a good time.
I am suuuuper late, but welcome to the community!
Can't wait until proceduralDad physically clips into the game and throws Zoombinis over the mountain into Zoombiniville on video
(but really, you have my interest.)
Hello! I watched the AGDQ run of this game, and fell immediately in love with it. I bought the game while it was on sale, and have been practicing it on and off for a while now, trying to get better. I try to follow along with some of the cool stunts done in runs, but some of them I don't understand what's happening, or it's so hard that it's frustrating. (I hate 5-2 now with a passion)
Are there any tips and tricks that would be good to know? I hope to have a run of some sort to share eventually.
I just grinded until i got a Sub 7 minute run for Bayou Any%, but only after I got it did I realize I wasn't recording any audio. I got the issue fixed, so it should be just fine for my next capture, but I want to know if I need to try to get another run to submit to the leaderboard.
