As the title says, while the game IS currently out as of today, submissions to this leaderboard will NOT be open until August 12th, 2 weeks after the initial release date of July 29th. This will give the Mods time to enjoy the game and figure out what categories and rules will be needed. Until then, happy Blasting!
Sorry i dont have this recorded, but i was messing around playing this co-op with my daughter earlier and found two things.
1: right as she entered a pipe, i grabbed a warp star. this made us switch positions, and left her floating in midair spinning, unable to move. after a couple seconds, she randomly warped into the wall on the left edge of the screen, and every time jump was pressed, her mage shifted upwards one tile. Im not sure if or where this would be useful, but yeah.
2: She was a ghost, i was alive, she was near the very bottom of the screen, and i was near the top. she grabbed a warp star while dead and partially offscreen, which caused me to warp to where she was, instantly killing me because i was at the bottom of the screen. this resulted in me coming back as a ghost, leaving us both as ghosts. The screen continued scrolling endlessly at the speed it was moving when i died until the end of the stage, where we were softlocked since we were both ghosts and couldnt enter the door, and there were no chests/boxes to try to get a powerup to revive with from where this weird dual-ghost anomaly started until the end of the stage.
B-ran made a serious discovery as far as version difference goes. We don't know how we missed this before. On the PS4/PSP version of Rondo, Shaft takes SIGNIFICANTLY LESS hits to kill with Richter than he does on the original version. With this discovery, it proves that the PS4/PSP version is a completely different build of the game, and thus will be separated into it's own separate category, with the now current categories being PCE/VC/EMU, and PSP/PS4. Please use the appropriate platform subcategories when submitting future runs.

Some changes have been made to the leaderboards today, and will continue to be made throughout the week.
-
DLC characters no longer are in the "Misc." section, and are instead under the EX Characters tab, seperated by sub-categories.
-
Unlimited, Destroyer and Co-Op no longer have seperate tabs for Any% and 100%, and instead each mode has a single tab with Any% and 100% as sub-categories. Co-Op has also been moved out of the "Misc." section.
-
Added an bit to the Co-Op categories rules that states it must be a 2-player Co-Op run, and not a 1p2c run.
One thing that still has yet to be done, and will be happening later this week, is adding a Legacy tab. With the release of Patch 1.3, Inti Creates has fixed the ceiling clipping glitch that was used in some 100% runs of the game. Runs using this glitch will be moved to a Legacy leaderboard to have them permanently documented, showing how the game was routed with said glitch. A new rule change will also be in effect, requiring all new runs to the main categories be using the most recent version of the game, as it is impossible for any run on patch 1.3 to beat a run done with the ceiling clip from 1.2 and before. As the ceiling clip was the only glitch currently in any routes that could be fixed, this should be the only situation where a patch causes a massive change in the time for a category.
The Legacy boards will be closed for submissions, and will be there purely to document the routes for old versions of the game. Active categories will always require the latest version of the game, and a patch will only cause runs to be moved to the legacy boards if it causes a major change in routing and time for the category. This seems like the best way to handle this fix without getting into a situation where we would all be forced to figure out ways to downgrade our BM Zero, which could get into needing to jailbreak, root, whatever your Switch.
So, for anyone unaware, the category currently ends by hitting the exit door of the alternate Stage 5. This is very anticlimatic, but unavoidable due to needing to do everything else in the game to be able to unlock said stage.
I have recently been informed that by entering your file name as X-X!V''Q (same as the luck mode name for SotN), it allows you do have all the stages already unlocked (but doesnt change your file percentage at all, you still start at 0% and have to do everything).
Using this would allow us to route the game a bit differently, both making Dracula the proper end of the route AND saving time over the current route. This would make the run both much more enjoyable to run, and much more interesting to watch. I see a LOT of comments in my chat about how anticlimatic the ending for 100% is.
So yeah, I want to get all of the mods opinions on this, and possibly open up discussion for allowing use of that name for the file.
