Orlando, FL, USARemoving all runs would quite rough for each new map that’s added. It would already be a super long run as it is.
Note you would also have to remove all the runs if just one map is updated.
I'd agree with @PlayingWithDick on this one. I don't believe it's an actual serious category that needs to be associated with the easy%.
Not something I'd run, but if enough people really decide to run then I don't mind it being added to Misc. However, I wouldn't want it turning into the situation that happened with exploitless where a lot of people said they'd do it and the board sat in the main categories for months with like 3 runs and wasn't touched for a long time. So if enough people are REALLY going to use that category (and will not be ditching the category after one run), then okay.
Also, if this category becomes a reality, how come the difficulty order? I know some people like to get the hard parts of a speedrun done first so the rest of it is a breeze. Unless it effects how the game runs (which I don't think it does), I don't personally see why it should be restricted that you must start from easy and you can't do vice versa.

Hi, just wanted to make a quick post regarding runs that are being or will be removed in the future. As updates come and go, things are bound to change with our speedrun.com page. Whether there’s a new map, new physics, or something that requires us to edit the rules, it happens.
We just wanted to let everyone know if your run is removed, it is because one of the following reasons:
• Your run is found to be against the rules.
• An update patches something, causing old runs to become impossible to beat.
• A map is refurbished to the point where old runs are impossible to beat.
The second reason is going to be the most common reason. As the developer continues to do general updates and patches, expect waves of run rejections occasionally. With this post, you shouldn’t be blindsided by this.
Personally, I lean more towards a board split. I think it would be a better choice than trying to figure out the time to add when we can just have it split while being 100% sure what is accurate. I don’t believe having a time that we THINK is right and fair by almost guesstimating is better than just knowing what we’re putting on the board is fair for everyone. It would never be 100% accurate as some have shown with adding time.

I submitted my first run to the Genesis version of this game in July of this year, however, I did run the SNES version starting back in May. (These are when I submitted my first RUN, however this isn’t when I very first started playing the game.)
Some of the reasons I believe I would make a good moderator is because I believe that I am a very approachable person. I am always willing to hear out other people's ideas, and I am always willing to listen to any concerns that anyone may have. I do my very best to hear from other perspectives in the community. I do work well with others, even if there’s something up, I treat everyone with the same respect regardless of what’s going on. And like other runners near the top, I do know a lot of how this game works and what to look for. And if there are any issues or I'm not sure of anything, I would always ask other moderators for help instead of taking a guess of whether something is right or wrong.
I have 3 years of experience of being a super moderator on speedrun.com and it continues to go on. I still moderate another board. This leads to my activity level always high on this site, as the other page I moderate does flood in with up to quite a few runs in a day sometimes. (However to clarify, this would not make my activity worse for TLK, as the game I moderate is an IL based game, so runs are only about 1-2 minutes, so I get them done easily.) I suppose the point of me mentioning this, is that I have the speedrun.com tab open for most of the day which would allow me to fare well in activity for TLK.
I am very involved in this community. Most people who run this game currently have likely seen me hanging around whether it has been on the discord or other runners twitch streams. There is where a lot of my activity is with a lot of other members in the community. I do intend to stick with this community for a good amount of time for the foreseeable future.
As a final statement: even if I’m not selected as a moderator, as I’ve mentioned in the past, I am always happy to help in any way I can with the board. :)

Thanks for the suggestion. In fact, a few days ago I had brought up to a fellow mod about letting Poisonous Chasim in community maps, due to the creator of the map telling me there was little to no difference from the in game version. However, the problem arouse when there was 2 issues - these maps can be changed or edited at anytime, without warning. They can be nerfed, buffed, or just completely replaced with any map.
2nd, people can use things to cheat. There are some maps in maptest that will give you certain advantages if you look for them. Thus, they can just go to a map that gives them that advantage, then go to the said map that's on the board and attempt a WR.
These things are bad, even with a sub-category for it.
We'll continue to look into it and see what we can do.
@ Pringles - there are some days we can get up to 20 runs in a single day alone, but normally we get to though them. It’s just a notice just in case we don’t get to them. We try our best to get them done on the same day.
It has come to our attention that there are some stealing videos, submitting them claiming for the videos to be their own. This is strictly against the rules. From now on, if you’re caught, you will get a warning. However, on the 2nd offense, your runs will no longer be accepted on this page and will be an automatic decline, regardless of it being your video or not.
Second, boasting. I’ve noticed some words going around. Boasting & Harassment against other runners (while different, but still not ok) are against the site rules as well. We can’t expect everyone to be best buddies, but you still need to treat other runners with respect. If you are shown to be boasting or bullying other runners, your runs will not be accepted AND your runs will be REMOVED.
Try to keep this place a respectable one. Have a good one everyone. :)
(oh and please have patience with getting your runs verified. We’re getting overflows with all the new maps being added to the game.)
I wouldn't be opposed to it. Not sure why there'd be any cons for this. As Insom says I think milliseconds would be beneficial to all placements and not only the top 5-10 runners.
Your time begins on your first step if you decide to wait after spawn.
Hi @miiti_best - just know in this page, a speedrun that is done in the FE2 Maptesting game will not be accepted. This is due to the fact that some maps can have slight differences in the Maptest game.

I don’t believe anyone here had any personal problem against the two promoted. Me personally, I was mostly upset on how it was presented. And the way the situation was never talked about with the community/we didn’t know a problem existed - before going directly to a full mod. I felt it could’ve been a little less.. drama like?
Anyway, I wish Carter and Akiteru the very best in moderating this game. And as always, if any help is needed I’d be more than happy to help.

If this is one of the cases, then Alfredo should not be the only one moderating SNES, either. Which he has been for a good while.

You can’t have friends who run the game as a moderator? Just because you’re friends with a runner, doesn’t mean you’re automatically going to have a bias and not treat their runs the same as everyone else’s. That’s just bad moderation. And there hasn’t been any of that. The cheating thing was revolving around confirming there was proper proof, not just defending a runner to defend a runner.
My point still stands however about going AROUND the community without one word to them. No discussion whatsoever.
I hesitate to jump into this - because really I don’t want to have to go back and forth. However, I think this one is important.
I want to begin by saying I was in fact contacted by Alfredo about being added to a list of candidates for moderator. I did accept. I also want to say I have offered many times in the past to the current moderators that I would happily help them out if they ever needed it.
My issue isn’t that I wasn’t chosen, but it was the decision made. I have nothing against Carter or Akiteru. At all. I have never had a problem with them in the past. However, a lot of the time, the moderators are representative of the community. Someone like Akiteru, for example, is NOT representative of our side of the community. The Genesis players. He is easily a representative of the SNES portion of it. Like others mentioned, his run is now even removed from this board.
I’m a little bit confused as there is so many more options that are actually involved around the community. I’m extremely curious to know who the candidates were. And the fact that the current moderators had little to no say in who was picked is really off. Alfredo did say he would post results, but that didn’t happen. He silently did it, for some reason. I was hoping he actually would post it so the community can discuss this.
This is all so random. I have seen no issues recently. After my digging around earlier today, my conclusion came that it’s from drama that happened months ago - that has no effect on what has been happening within the last few months, it seems like a giant bias/grudge - but this still happened anyway.
Looking at the past, there is a serious issue here with going behind the communities back and making decisions without discussion.
You need to read more carefully to what has been said.
