Absolutely great run! It was a great idea to do the marketing campaign at the beginning, I believe it saved you 1 minute over my record. The rest of it was your superior menu navigation and memory (I have a horrible memory, so I have to write them into my splits to make sure I remember them, and that definitely makes me lose time. Also, don't forget that you also got the record for the "Unlock All Parks" category under Misc. You beat it by 1:08! Good luck on your future runs!
How about categories with sub categories? Because there are the shooter games, which can be one category, but there are different kinds of the shooters (wild west one, haunted one, etc.)
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't each game have an in game timer for the minigames? So we could use those for the times.
How about both? We could utilize the leaderboards "levels" feature to separate the games, but I don't know if that goes against any rules or not.
I like this idea, it would be really fun and could push people to find some good shortcuts and such for other runs as well.
I figured it out. There is a frame (maybe a few, haven't tested that part of it yet) that while you are recovering from a hit, you can actually jump like there's a floor below you, I'll try to edit this post with a clip of it.
Edit: I even made one with the morph jump to show that it works with this as well, but it's even more precise, because if you jump a frame too early or too late, you'll just sit there dazed.
Probably no one will see this for a while, but I was messing around trying to see if I could damage boost up (because the ramp to boost up onto the cart wasn't there in my rom for some reason) and I got this weird glitch:
I think it might have been because of the enemy turning around and basically making a boost pad, but I haven't been able to replicate it yet. I'll keep trying and see what I can do, but I think it might be possible to do this in a normal playthrough, just very tough. I think in order to get it to turn around, you have to turn away from the wall for a frame or two while it's almost directly below you, and it thinks you're on the other side of the "tile."
Are you guys running it on the steam version or emulators? Because I think this game has only crashed on me once and it was around when I first started playing it again.
