Yes please, I'd like to see how this level skip would work on a fresh copy of the game. If it's still possible then it would be allowed in Any%.
The N key glitch is interesting, I never knew you could do this! :O This sounds more like a leftover from developer testing than a proper glitch. Regardless, this is banned in Any% as it would completely trivialise the run.
Hi Tirar, could you explain what you mean by the N key glitch? I don't believe I've heard of this before.
Skipping directly from Level 1 to Level 20 (assuming you have already unlocked level 20) is not allowed. I have updated the category rules accordingly, runs must be completed as if you start with only level 1 unlocked.
I'm interested in the recent level skip glitch you have discovered. Is this glitch only possible if you have already beaten all the levels? Or is it possible on a fresh copy of the game? If its the latter please may you provide proof of this when you have the chance. I'll hold off on approving your run until then. :3
The rules for the All Characters categories have a typo in them.
They say "You must have all teammates rounded up from everytime" instead of "...from every team".
Just something I noticed! :P
Hi!
I'm playing this casually right now. Would anyone perhaps have the 100% route for the recipes?
Just to save myself time when I go and do this... :P
Also, how optimised is the 100% route?
Hi!
I am one of the super moderators for the Nitrome game series: http://www.speedrun.com/nitrome. I created this series and currently manage it.
A couple of games have recently been moved/added to this series though I have not been given super moderator status on them. Is there a way for me to get this?
These games are:
http://www.speedrun.com/Fault_Line http://www.speedrun.com/Dirk_Valentine_and_the_Fortress_of_Steam http://www.speedrun.com/Colorblind http://www.speedrun.com/tinycastle
Hey!
I don't know if this is the right thread, but I'm looking to have three games moved to an existing game series. Please may you move the games:
http://www.speedrun.com/Ditto http://www.speedrun.com/Fault_Line http://www.speedrun.com/Dirk_Valentine_and_the_Fortress_of_Steam
to the series: http://www.speedrun.com/nitrome
I am one of the Super Mods on the Nitrome series. Would this move give me Super Mod status on all these games? If not, would I have to request Super Mod from the existing owners of Ditto, Fault Line, etc?
Episode 2 and 3 Blue Minikits:
You may have noticed that I do not use the Triple Jump glitch in these videos. The reason for this is that the glitch is very difficult to do on the Wii version. It is certainly possible, but very hard to execute in practice given the shape of the Wii remote. Perhaps someone with the XBox version would like to expand upon my routing? ;)
(Unless I'm just holding the controller the wrong way! xD)
Good idea, though not all Challenge Mode levels can be completed after Story Mode. Some require end-game characters, mainly the Sith ones.
Hello all!
I have routed the Blue Minikits in Episode 1, let me know what you think! :)
I'm working on the other episodes now.
May we get Challenge Mode for each IL also?
I'm cool with making these changes if I am made a mod. ^.^
Awesome, thank you Bentley! :D
Is name changing something that you can do or does it require a higher up moderator?
While I am here I'd like to ask if it is worth us having co-op categories? I can't see them becoming too popular (based on this and other Lego games) and I don't think they'll make much of a difference to runs. I suggest we merge Any% single player and Any% co-op into one category and to add an extra variable (like the one which shows the platform the game is played on) to show how many players took part.
Of course, if co-op becomes a much more contested category then we could always split them apart! :P
Those are my thoughts at least, just to help keep the page cleaner, though I'm not particularly bothered by it either way.
I've recently been thinking about running 100% of this game, and here people are talking about routing it! How coincidental! :P
A few things I can think of:
-
True Jedi does not need to be routed. It can be done in either Story Mode or Free Play very easily. Stud multipliers actually count towards True Jedi! :D If you have Score x2, x4 and x6 all activated you can literally get True Jedi within seconds of starting a level. The Power Bricks for these should be collected at the earliest opportunity (they don't require non-Story Mode characters) so we can get True Jedi in Free Play mode at the latest.
-
In Free Play mode you can save and exit a level, meaning you do not need to complete a level to get the 10/10 minikits golden brick. Indeed, we should collect all easy minikits in Story Mode, especially those that can be found right at the end of a level. This'll to prevent ourselves from having to effectively complete a level twice just to collect a minikit which we could have collected in Story Mode.
-
The Droideka is the fastest character in the game, so it should be used frequently in Free Play and in the Challenge Levels.
What do you think?
I agree. I think:
''Any% with Power Bricks'' should be changed to Any% NG+ ''Any% without Power Bricks'' should be changed to Any%, although I don't see why Power Bricks shouldn't be allowed.
(Co-op categories would also change accordingly)
Hello all!
Please may: http://www.speedrun.com/Final_Ninja be added to http://www.speedrun.com/nitrome
Sorry for any inconveniences caused!
Hello! o/
Why emulators not accepted for runs of this game?
