We have archived the Extra Speed category for now as we are making changes to the SSF2T/X board. we are moving and creating leaderboards for SSF2T as well so moving all the runs to their respective place will take a bit of time so please be patience.
Keep in mind that any% and extra speed are 2 different categories, "true any%" implies that you can change all the in-game settings (in this specific game the difficulty is the only other change possible)
Changes are not done by 1 person but by the mod team, we are on conversations about these changes and what is best for the community.

My issue with the implementation of the keyboard/hitbox ban is that Andy keep using the words "we" and "the mods" when it seems that he took that decision on his own, he is free to prove me wrong that he talked to the mods before he banned those devices for runs.
what a beautiful cab, weird that you couldn't run the game on your cab with original hardware. those days are over, hope to see some runs in the future.
on the rules it says RTA so loading screens and menu navigation are included on the speedrun time. some loading screens are 10+ seconds difference so it would be good to separate the leaderboards or use ITG instead of RTA.
I notice a big difference in loading times on PC VS PS4.
is impossible to run against PC times on a PS4, that's why I want to request a PS4 leaderboard.
I want to request a separate leaderboardfor the PS1 because of the loading times.
console around 15 seconds on every loading screen in between fights.
emulator around 8 seconds on every loading screen in between fights.
in between fights on emulator it takes around 5 to 6 seconds VS 9 to 15 seconds on console on loading screens.
I want to request a separate leaderboard due to almost double the time wasted on loading screens on console.
the sega saturn leaderboard is locked to the survival speedruns, can it be added the arcade and survival separated, 2 of my runs got orphaned because they dont belong to the survival leaderboard but to the arcade leaderboard that doesn't exist anymore.
Recently I got a sega saturn and did some survival for fun and wonder if can be added to the leaderboard with their respective difficulty% (2 and 8)
I dont know if this is enough time differences to separate the JP and US version.
US version dont have transitions from stage to stage (dont know if is faster than JP as its has a transition).
The big time difference is on any% because on US you dont have to wait for all the transitions, just 1 screen, while on the JP version tou have to wait for every single transition till the boss fight.
1 more thing is on the JP version you skip stages till the boss while on the US it skips around 6 floors. I have not tested to be 100% sure, I just notice the difference on casual playthru.
So with all that info it looks to me that there is a difference enough in time on a speedrun to separate the US and JP leaderboards.
I notice that the ps1 loading times is double compared to the PS2 loading time, so there is around 25+ seconds extra of loading times on a run on ps1 vs ps2.
The only run that I could compared to is the current WR run, all the other runs on the leaderboard are not available.
been playing this game for a while and having the rules to damage at 3 (instead of the default damage at 2) takes the combos away from the game so the speedruns dont reward you for playing good, it rewards the cheese. so doing combos are not optimal and counters the nature of street fighter games. my request is to change the damage from 3 to 2 (default damage) so the game can be played as a street fighter game or have a different leaderboard for default% and any%
PS: when you finally get a dizzy on the CPU at that moment a combo wont matter because the health remaining is too low to even do a full combo. just an example of what I mean with the Damage set at 3
I was testing playing with autofire and is way different than playing by mashing. the upgrade of the missiles is slower than the normal missile weapon with autofire so is a big disadvantage for runners that they play on original arcade cabinet or for runners that want the real arcade feel. as well it makes the movement easier for precise aiming. and you can do longer session as your hand, wrist and arm dont get soar after some time. PB without autofire 5.54 PB with autofire 5.42
I have an ibuffalo pad and never got any problems with it. As well if you press or hold the slash button you wont be able to get off a wall. Maybe when you are doing the motion of a wall climb your pad is registering the slash button
I submited a run 3 months ago and I wonder if any moderators are active
cool. I did a low%/punch% without coffe/boombox pickups besides the unavoidable one on the basement of highschool. for powerups is like the same. there is one unavoidable on the graveyard before the boss fight so as long as I dont use them should be ok. never seen the freddy skip. I always end up softlocking the game so I might keep that fight to finish the game and if skips dont work it will be punch% for boss fight. will give it a go to pacifist today and submit the runs. thanks for the input.
