I requested a category extension page for Metroid Prime (which I kinda got), but it's just a separate game with no connection to Metroid Prime at all. I had specified in Additional Notes to make it a category extension page but that's not what I got. Any fix?
Game can be found here: https://www.speedrun.com/Metroid_Prime_Category_Extensions
Honestly the 19% category should be removed because it is empty, but also because that's the lowest possible % anyways. We never fully tested to see what low% is now with ils, although low% is really really dumb now...
I highly doubt that every cutscene is skipped instantly, but I'm not gonna make a scene. In any case, the version available on this site does not play cutscenes ever, and so provides an unfair advantage to those on disc. A tiny, tiny disadvantage, but a disadvantage nonetheless.
I noticed that a few runs for the PC version never have a cutscene show up that needs to be skipped. Why is this the case? Reason I bring this up is that I don't think this should be allowed. I run on the actual disc so I have to skip custcenes.
Agreeing with Icefire and Justin. Definitely good changes that could be implemented for sure.
The mods need to edit the game to put VC as a platform. Id wait to submit, but yes, if done on Wii U VC, youd submit as WiiUVC. Runs are fine.
No, but moving diagonally is faster than moving forward.
Discord Server for the Metroid: Other M Speedrunning Community. Feel free to ask any questions.
People haven't taken any% as seriously as All Items. Yes it would be faster but All Items is a better run I think. And no it doesn't disqualify any%. All Items is technically Any%, but with more stuff.
No. You want to run New Game+, as its multiple hours faster.
That's because most don't care about trilogy because they are worse speedruns.
Yes Normal would be the same as a GC equivalent "Easy" if it existed. People don't run Veteran or Hypermode because it just makes the run longer, and doesnt add much of anything.
Most people who run these games don't have any interest in a "glitchless" run. It's partly that it's hard to define glitchless per say. That being said, feel free to run without glitches for now. I'm sorry that you can't quite compete with the times, but run what makes you happy. Maybe it can be done in the future.
Hi I just have a question. Is the route listed anywhere for this game or will I need to watch a run to find the route?
Also, is running the Wii version slower than PS3 and if so, by how much roughly?
@eddiecatgaming I'm pretty sure SMB does not need anymore mods. Being a mod means nothing special honestly.
