Thank you for the suggestions. I would suggest asking them in Discord if you want to have it seen.
My 2 cents are the fish idea sounds interesting. The prismatic debatable, since it'd devolve to who can get it to drop soonest in the mines from a rock/monster (pure rng).
Generally you should try to have one, but if you don't it's not the end of the world. Timers can glitch out in runs, but that doesn't disqualify them.
Just to quickly state, if you have questions or comments, it's generally best to ask in our Discord group to have faster responses. Mods will check the forums here from time to time, but if you want a more reliable response then I suggest you to join the Discord to ask there.
As mentioned, I don't see a problem with that method. I would think it would be agreed upon that it's a game mechanic and not a glitch.
As mentioned in my pm with you, if it was accepted then I would assume it will stay legal.
Personally, I don't see much of a problem with what has been done in the run with regards to the fish pond bonding.
Bone club, beach bombs, decent forage, glow ring...cheated run? I never see those in my resets (joking) :P
As per discord discussion when the news of mayo appeared, there was hype over a category such as that (and at least one has done a run already). There may be an idea to pair it with consuming another item that is made possible in 1.6 as well, but details haven't been ironed out.
Current Perfection is for 1.5 so you can still do that and submit. More than likely there will be a version selection or have it split between 1.5 and 1.6 versions. (No current discussion yet from mods/community.)
- With version 1.6 being soon approaching (on the 19th), there will be a temporary embargo (suspension) for runs running on the new patch (old patches are still okay). This will give time for people to get a feel for it, for any potential bugs or rulings that need to happen.
- Also, if you do happen to have any ideas on additional categories with the new changes, please create a thread in the forums or in the Discord #suggestions. (Discord is more visible than here.)

Haboo's runs were "legit" but they either had frame drops or did something minor that would disqualify them. I haven't watched them entirely, but the frame drops would be the most likely.
1 - allowed in all runs
2 - either - CC is taken to get a few of the rewards and then finished through joja
3 - parsnip strategy is fine, because it is based on rng/game seed (snips are related to the enchantments, so if you know a gold snip spot and get it, that gives a lot of information)
Just depends on luck and how many weeds you can cut. I've gotten LH on Spring 2 Year 1 when making attempts. Each weed has a 1/100,000 chance to drop a LH (doesn't matter the day).
Yes, as long as you do manual timing, that is fine. I used to physically tape keys down to only need to press 1 key to cancel (since the other two were already active) which would effectively be the same as what you are describing.
So a run like Community Center (CC) is anywhere from 2.5-6 hours (up to 10ish if you don't use a route) is to be done in one sitting with no pausing of the timer (can still take breaks but recording continues and you lose time to do so).
Editing videos together isn't allowed. The only category that allows for something similar is Perfection, which allows pausing and multiple video recordings (they don't need to be edited together) over a certain length of time (since most runs will require over 30 hours to complete in-game time).
All other runs don't allow you to pause (well you can take a break but your timer doesn't stop). All other runs require a single video where the run is completed in 1 sitting.
Nothing happens. Timer just continues as normal until the final player marries.
