We did update the rules a few months ago and made them much easier to read and understand. We left the Single Job and Meme Categories untouched because over the years, previous moderators (especially early on) accepted many runs without considering if they followed the rules. This makes the SJ/Meme cats incredibly inconsistent and we can't just make a legacy/new sub-category for that because even within the legacy sub-section there would be so much discrepancy. I definitely appreciate your suggestions, they are very interesting ideas and if you would like to flesh them out more and discuss them on our discord server I'd be happy to hear you out, but as for Single Job and the Meme Categories, it would be unreasonable to make a change now due to what I wrote above. Thanks for you input :)
@NOVAxB3ASTX, these runs are in the legacy category when the rules were inconsistent, refer to the current sub-category for up-to-date rules and runs.
I don't think anyone should get heated over this. Runs here can be suggested and it's best to do the run yourself to show us what it would be like. Of course, if 5 people are going to do the run it doesn't seem very worth it but if many people say that they like it and more importantly are willing to do it themselves, that is when a category is truly considered :)
Moderator applications aren't open right now, that is why the post is locked.
@RossGames, the game rules state that for runs like Cashier, you can spawn by either resetting your character or respawning through the job menu.
Haha my bad it didn't show up on the modhub screen, I'll fix that.
This strat has been known for a while, you just don’t see it in many top runs because it is difficult to pull off and isn’t such a large timesave to classify as “reset-worthy” if you miss it trying to go for WR. Hope this helps.
Absolutely, check the categories on the leaderboards!
That’s changes a lot, thanks for the info.
Good idea! My only concern is that for people who already have the game pass, they won’t be able to unpurchase the pass. I’ll discuss this with the mod team :)
I was recently browsing the SRC audit logs and came across a few interesting 'inclusions' that weren't there before and I don't understand what they do. These include, "user-apikey-updated", "user-banned", "user-comments-wiped", "user-deleted", "user-modnote", "user-restored", "user-unbanned", and "user-updated". Could these possibly be new features for SRC or am I just crazy? I can't seem to figure out what these could mean. In theory, each one makes sense but none of them are SRC features (excluding banning users, but only Site Staff has the power to do that so why would it be in game-specific audit logs). Any thoughts, theories, or explanations to something I'm missing would be greatly appreciated :)
As myself, I can confirm that I did speak with Garsh about this issue. Thanks for publically stating it :)
