As you may know, the Final Horizon Update is upon us and from the looks of things, this update is giving us a lot to digest in regards to big changes with the game.

As usual, we will have an embargo for the leaderboards to give us as moderators time to play the game and make appropriate decisions. However, due to the scale of this update, this embargo will longer than the previous ones. We ask that you do not submit a run until the embargo is lifted. We do not have an idea as to when the embargo will be lifted, however we will be locking the boards for submission until then.

Hey everyone! Sonic's Birthday Bash update has officially released, this announcement is to address that. Obviously right now this is very new to us, so whilst we as moderators are working on adjusting rules and such, we ask that you do not submit a run with any of the advantages provided by the update. This includes deceleration rate when jumping, maintaining your boost in a jump, spin dashing, and any other possible advantage, fullgame or otherwise. We're looking to keep you all updated soon, but for now enjoy the update!

We have another update on the state of the boards today!

1. We are adding Extreme Mode to the Main Boards.

2. There is now an official Category Extensions page for Sonic Frontiers! We have added a few categories so far and plan to add more in the near future. For now, we have Splat%, All Emeralds, Get a Koco, Arcade Mode All Missions, as well as All Missions IL's. We plan to have some discussions about other categories but that will open up a future date.

We hope you're all enjoying the Sights, Sounds, and Speed update. We would like to officially put it out there that, until further notice when we make an official decision, runs with power boost toggled on in cyber space, full game or otherwise, will be rejected. This is to ensure parity with previous updates before 1.20. The embargo may be lifted at a later date with a more official decision from the mods. Edit: We are allowing use of any option the new update provides for any run, and we have split the ILs between power boost and normal boost! We have also changed the ruling on Arcade Mode / Cyber Space Challenge and have added Battle Rush! Stay tuned for more updates to come!

Hey everyone!

Today, we've finalized the rulesets for the first three full-game categories. These three categories are:

• Any% No DLC
• Arcade Mode
• 100%

We've also decided to have split categories for console and PC, primarily due to load times and lack of loadless timer for console. And finally, Any% No DLC has two ending categories: Normal Ending (Easy/Normal difficulties) and True Ending (Hard difficulty).

For more information for any category, please see their individual rulesets. It'd be a lot to go into, but a lot of thought and discussion went into these categories among the mod team. We're all very happy with them, and hope you all enjoy running them.

Hey gamers!

Hope you've all been having fun with the game. Reminder that the leaderboard embargo will lift on the 22nd.

With this in mind, we are going to open the individual level leaderboards early. People have already begun to grind the cyberspace levels into the ground, and the rules/categories of ILs seem pretty straightfoward. Therefore, the individual level leaderboards have now opened for submissions. Runs will begin being verified on the 15th (edit: that's today!).

As a final note, while leaderboards are closed, we do invite others to start running the game. However, the mod team is heavily suggesting that you disable non-cosmetic DLCs. In order to do this, uninstall the DLC on whatever platform you are on. Tutorials on how to do this exist. Also ensure you aren't playing with game modifications, as the modding scene for Frontiers has already exploded.
