Hello,

Heard a question in the discord "what to do to prepare for NG+" so I figured I would answer it, and give it a permanent home:

With NG+ the game is a cake walk. So I would recommend beating the game normally. After that reload your starred save and theres an old man in the back of the Arena in fun city. Talk to him and he will send you back to Expel.

You will want to kill all the raid bosses (red orbs on both world maps) Which will get you most of the ultimate weapons. After that you will want to defeat the Maze of Tribulations on the desert continent you couldn't reach your first time playing the game. Then level up to 255.

Hopefully you did the PA in Kurik where you met Gabriels daughter telling you the town is going to get destroyed because I think some of the group battles are locked behind that. Anyway make sure you wipe out all the PAs and there should be a new one with that same girl in Centropolis on Nede.

Go refight the end boss and kill unlimited gabriel. Once that is done you will want to make sure you picked up the trumpet in the Maze of Tribulations so you can fight Iseria Queen. If you plan on using any mages you will want to fight her over and over again until you get a few Archangels Bracelets, and turn off any spells that cause interruptions to battle.

Even with the menu setting set to off, it still wastes time so definitely turn them off on each character. After that you want to go back to Fun City, and beat all the freshly unlocked group battles to get the Winged Bracelet. Then its time for NG+

I recommend after that you run the game a few times, or watch the existing runs on the board. It is very easy because you just have to follow the exclamation points. It can be done in less than 3 hours on your first try if you follow the above. During your runs you will want to make any relevant notes to yourself regarding when cutscenes popup, and when you should be fast traveling / bunnying / using the synard.

But you just basically run straight to the end, memorize the puzzles for each dungeon, and beat Gabriel. You will also want to turn the voices off in the menu prior to beating the game, as leaving them on makes it slower when you are summoning the bunny.

So at some point I plan on running these now that I've juiced up my save file, but I have doc (WIP) with notes for a general route that should consistently land sub 90 runs. Star Ocean The Second Story R NG+ Claude Route (WIP) I'll need to fill out the details for equipment/tactics/settings/etc. but overall the objectives for each split is in bullets and the stuff to execute is numbered.

Sounds good you can definitely place it in the guides section when you have completed it.
