How much more time can be improved without having to introduce things like Lightning 4-2? Like if someone got WR frame rule up to 8-3 and then tied 8-4 IL WR.
you literally mentioned the ONLY known remaining timesaves. Lightning 4-2 and a better 8-4 are the only timesaves in Any%.
exactly. the fastest possible time(performed by the tas) is only milliseconds ahead. we're getting to the human limit. the only known remaining timesaves are insanely hard to get consistent in RTA.
yea lightning 4-2 is the only framerule posible to save by itself rn for miniland and nifstki i think the perfect time was about 4:54;267 right? with a perfect 8-4 (which btw hasnt been done yet tho)
yeah. around a 4:53.267. that's what's known to be humanly possible without doing the holding both left and right to gain momentum thing. with it, it's a 4:51 something.
No, with L+R the fastest time is a 4:54.032 and with no L+R it's 4:54.265. What you're thinking of is PAL. With L+R in PAL you can get a high 4:51 and with no L+R you can get a 4:52. This is a TAS I made of PAL with no L+R, it is actually a 4:52.2 because the 8-4 is 2 frames slower than the fastest possible no L+R 8-4
Without L+R or Lightning 4-2, I believe it’d be a low 4:54.6xx.
Any% (NTSC) runs below 4:57.000 must now fulfill additional requirements in order to be verified.
- The run's full session must be included in the submission description.
- For emulator runs below 4:57.000, some form of input display must be visible for the duration of the run. A hand-cam or input
