Thought I would try to dip my toes in with an old favorite of mine, but wanted to make sure I was operating within the rules.
Here are some questions I had: 1: Must uploads for level timing be taken from a continuous playthrough of the single-player campaign? 2: Is it acceptable to go from the main menu, start into a specific level, and upload that time for that specific level? 3: Is there a preferred video hosting medium? (Twitch clips / highlights or YouTube Videos for example) 4: Any split timer tips? (I am planning to use some spare keys close by to trigger it, but was not sure if there was any advice I could gain around this)
Hi! I'm happy to answer some of your questions.

If you want to upload times for individual maps, you can either submit a time you got from a single-player campaign run, or you can just select the map on the main menu and play through the map that way for the time it gives at the end.

Yes, this is allowed!

A YouTube upload of your run or a Twitch highlight are the best ways to upload your runs.

If you don't already use Livesplit, I highly recommend giving it a download. If you're doing a run of a specific level you don't need splits, but if you do a run of the entire single-player campaign you'll want splits to go with it. As for "tips" really all you need to do is bind a key on your keyboard to split when you complete a map/a certain number of waves. Personally, I have my split key on my numpad.
Thanks for clearing that up!
I did get Livesplit and started tinkering with it to find a setup I like.
