How to double tap

Double tapping in context of the NickyD Official Game is when a runner gets two hits in instead of one on the boss's head. It's fairly easy to pull off in a few attempts, but it takes a lot of practice to accurately execute every time. The way attacks are detected in the NickyD Official Game is not based on when the wrench strikes but rather if the head detects its touching the wrench. The head then gains invulnerability for 0.45 seconds, this is visually represented as the head is stunned. The wrench attack takes 0.16 seconds to execute. If the runner can hit the head within the last 0.08 seconds of their attack, the runner can attack again before leaving the heads hitbox effectively getting two hits on the head instead of one. Theoretically the player should be able to get two hits in close enough together that they count as one, but this is very unlikely as they only have 0.13 seconds to execute this and the game engine can vary the time slightly in favor of a smaller window. 

Execution: In order to pull off  the double tap in the easiest way possible, the runner must rapidly tap the space bar to start attacking. The runner must aim to begin the attack 0.15 seconds at most, before contacting the head and if rapidly tapping the space bar the runner should be able to get two hits in. This will take several attempts to master.

How to take advantage of damage boosting to get some hits during the boss fight

General Information: Damage boosting in the context of the NickyD Official Game is using the in game knockback system to reach Helixx's head during a non-vulnerable phase. It can be used a maximum of 3 times because you must get hit to damage boost. Knockback in the NickyD game is by a consistent amount and only varies in direction.

General Execution: In order to get enough high to get a hit in, the runner must get hit while airborne, preferably at the peak of their jump. Once the runner is launched they must steer themselves in the opposite direction of the knockback in order to get to the head. Once the head is reached the runner should strike to damage the boss. 

Execution during the ketchup phase: The runner should aim to land on top of the fists while they cross paths for the greatest chance of success.

Execution during the rumble phase: The runner should aim for the top inner corners of the fist for the greatest chance of success. This phase is a little trickier then the ketchup phase so it's suggested that if the RNG chooses this move it may be best to reset the run.

Execution during the vulnerable phase: The runner should aim for the inside of the third slam attack (the attack nearest to the boss.) This is a viable strat if the boss has one heart left as its faster then riding the hand back up to attack, and can be more accurate if the runner is experienced. It is highly recommended to attempt double tapping when using this strat as this is the easiest phase to double tap with damage boosting.
