A new category has been made for the current patch of Minecraft Dungeons, which is 1.17. This decision was made by the community after deciding it was necessary to make the current version of the game separate from the other versions. This is because access to older versions isn't very accessible, it is exclusive to PC, meaning no other platform can make use of the tools for older versions. Furthermore, some people are not fond of the use of Tower glitches in the older versions.

Essentially, the change was made to include console and other platforms, not only PC, in competition somewhere on our boards. It also is a category a lot easier to learn without tower glitches.
