Hello Runners.

We have a new rule for all platforms, for random seed runs.

After completing a Top Run (Top 5 Main Category/1st ILs), you must exit the world and go to the main menu.

For top Windows runners, you still have to do PowerShell verification.

For Ps4/Ps5, this rule has been removed:

On Playstation 4/5 for runs in the top 5 of a full game or world record runs of an individual level category at the time of verification, you should clip the entire run using the console's clipping feature and keep the entire raw video saved in your console, as we may ask you for further proof. Once the run is verified, you may delete the video. This doesn't apply for runs over an hour long (max clip length).

Hello Runners. We have banned texture packs across the whole boards now. This is due to there being ways to have slight advantages in different categories such as Set Seed Any%.

Past runs:

  • After a long discussion and investigating the game, we decided to change the showing global resource pack rule to be a highly recommended thing to do instead of a must (resource packs are STILL banned), so any past runs that haven't shown global resource packs and got rejected may be resubmitted and verified again (as long as they didn't have any resource packs).

  • With this, we also decided to unreject and verify @lol869 6:46 (https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe/runs/yonkr5dz)

Windows (Powershell Code Rules)

Ps4/Ps5

  • After completing a top run (Top 5 Main Category/1st ILs), you should clip the entire run using the console's clipping feature, and keep the entire raw video saved in your console, as we may ask you for further proof.
  • Once the run is verified, you may delete the video.
  • This doesn't apply for runs over an hour long (Max clip length)

Other Platforms

  • We will continue to try to find alternatives/similar solutions to prove runs more easily in other platforms, and will update everyone when we do have an update.

The MCBE leaderboard will not be accepting videos uploaded to discord as proof

Starting today the moderators of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Category Extensions will be rejecting any new runs submitted with it's sole proof being a discord attachment.

Discord, a popular chatting application, which allows users to upload files to it's servers, will make the links users can copy expire after 24 hours. Submitting runs using such links will make the run unavailable for everyone shortly after, which is not something we want.

If you plan to upload a new speedrun to the speedrun.com leaderboard please consider an alternative solution, such as youtube, google drive, bilibili, or any other file hosting service. As long as it will be available for a long time and the moderators can download a copy of the video, it will be accepted.

As for currently affected speedruns, we have gotten in contact with the runners who's runs may be affected by this change and encouraged them to update their runs with a new video link.
