- What recording software should I use that records my timer(NinjaSnail's Timer cuz I don't get livesplit) and my gameplay? I was using windows game bar and realized it didn't get my timer.
- Do the runs have to be published to youtube to get verified? Thanks!
- Most people use OBS, thats what i recommend
- you can also use twitch but i dont know about other services
- i think you can upload this to any video/streaming service - mods just need video proof of you beating the game
-
Use OBS for recording, and Streamlabs OBS for streaming. They are by far the best and most efficient software you could be using.

If you were streaming when the run happened, you can submit the twitch vod I believe. Otherwise, the failsafe option would be to upload a full video of the run to YouTube and submit the YouTube video link.
"Use OBS for recording, and Streamlabs OBS for streaming."
Former yes, latter absolutely not. SLOBS is utter garbage. Just use normal OBS.
How so Luke? Streamlabs is much more optimised for streaming than OBS. Much more options. A whole bunch of top streamers use Streamlabs, I don’t know of anyone relevant who uses plain OBS for streams.
OBS vs Streamlabs OBS is preference, stop arguing.
Also, @ZypherX you don't need the timer to be recorded. If you don't know how to use things like OBS just use Windows Game Bar. Timers are always inaccurate anyways and the mods will just retime your run.
I guess you could just record without using the speedrun timer.
Streamlabs OBS is user friendly but EATS AWAY at CPU usage. DO NOT USE STREAMLABS if u do not have a good pc.
Otherwise... yes it is completely based on your opinion
Um, A lot of people responded when I had classes, so thank you all for responding!
