Pre-Notes:
- Based off of DeadRobots' WR (46:34) 
- Going to assume that PC > Everything else due to load times and movement
- Will include Optional Photos locations for 100% runs

Everyday Heroes
- Timer starts when you gain control of Max
- slightly hug walls and walk up to Lighthouse. 
- Look at Photo on desk then take selfie
- Choose "I did know..." (B)
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #1: Desk in Center of room
- Walk up to Jefferson and talk to him
- Choose "I didn't have any time..."
- Walk out of classroom and head towards bathroom
- Enter Bathroom and use sink (don't look at mirror, will lose time)
- Take photo of butterfly
- Back in classroom, reverse time to fix camera then take selfie
- Choose "I have to go to the bathroom" (B)
- Reverse time and select "The Daguerreian Process" (Y)
- Walk up to Jefferson and talk to him
- Choose "I'm not avoiding it..." (X)
- Reverse time and choose same option
- Leave classroom and return to bathroom
- Look at Fire Alarm, look at janitor cart, move it, and hit fire alarm. 

Payback is a troll

- Leave bathroom and talk to principal
- Choose "Lie" (B)
- Walk out of school
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #2: Take photo of Statue
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #3: Turn around and talk to skateboarders. Reverse time and choose new conversation choice and then choose "Tre flip"
- Head Left to dormitories
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #4: Head to where Kate is sitting and take picture of squirrel
- Head to steps to get berated by Victoria
- Head left, go to storage room and hit water switch
- Go back out toward ladder and sabotage paint bucket.
- Talk to Victoria on steps and choose "Make fun of" (X)
- Enter dorms

Blackwell Ninja
- Head to end of the hall and enter the room on the right (Max's dorm)
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #5: Turn right and take selfie pic in mirror
- Look at note on desk and exit room
- Head back down the hall and talk to Juliet
- Choose "Juliet Watson" (A)
- Head back to end of hall and enter room on left (Victoria's room) 
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #6: Walk up to the collage of pictures, mess them up, then take photo
- Walk up to desk, use PC, then print out proof.
- Exit room 
- Head back down to hall and present proof to Juliet.
- Enter Dana's room, grab flash drive off desk, and leave dorms. 

Parking Lot Shakedown
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #7: Alyssa will get hit by football. Rewind time, warn her and football will hit window instead. Take Photo of damage
- Walk towards dorm yard exit
- Kate will get harassed by security guard. Take Photo (X)
- OPTIONAL PHOTO #8: Go to right side of the RV, draw on Window, and then take picture. 
- Walk up to Warren

Episode 1: Chrysalis Time starts when control is gained
Split1 Exposition: Covers up until leaving the school building
-Move up to lighthouse quickly nothing special here.

Skips and You - A Guide to the Skips and Speedtech of Life is Strange (Jan 2022 Update)

Hey guys. I made some videos for ESASummer19 for their "glitches and skips" intermission videos. I'm not actually sure if any of these aired on stream, but I've got them here for anyone (new or otherwise) wondering what the skips actually are.

For you first-time skippers, there are a few kinds of techniques you need to get down:

*Checkpoint Warping*: This one is so easy you can do it with your eyes shut. All you need to do is open the start menu and select "reload from checkpoint". This helps us in two spots in Episode 3 with some different effects each time.

*Look Clipping*: This one can be done on the console and PC versions of the game. In order to pull this off, you need to stand at some sort of wall with an object nearby. This can't be any normal object; this object needs to change the camera to a cinematic camera. If you've gotten this far, you'll hold down the run button, press the "Look" button and immediately hold movement forward for the duration of the cinematic camera. If done successfully, you'll be clipped into the object you were walking towards. This can take a bit to get used to but once you get the feel for it, you'll be doing it first time every time.

*Trigger Skipping*: This skip is related to look clipping but involves look-able items that don't use the cinematic camera like *look clips* or make something pop up on the screen. You're able to move slightly while the game gives control back to Max, we use this to skip dialogue triggers in Episode 2.

*Wall Shimmies*: This kind of skip can only be done on PC. Sorry consoles; you need an unlocked framerate, 60+FPS to pull this off. There are some objects in this game that act more like steep slopes rather than walls. In these cases, you can hold the run button and wiggle the movement stick side to side. Slowly, Max will begin moving up the "wall". If done in some places, it can get you out of bounds.

*Double Trigger*: Found by Aranel during her Full Game 100% marathon submission video. See the Unnamed skip video below for more details. We're currently investigating where this set of interactions could be applied.

**JAN22 Update**
*Fast Rewind*: Found by Aranel privately, publicized by Eray. During the girls dormitories scene at the end of Episode 2, you can hold down RT (accelerated rewind) and mash LT (rewind) for a funky effect. We're currently investigating where this tech can apply in other rewind instances.

After collecting the 5th bottle (assuming you're a normal human being and collect the boat bottle last) just reload the checkpoint.

**Episode 2: Double Trigger [All Platforms; Any% and 100%]**

This glitch involves hitting the trigger to jump down the ledge near the drum but also interacting with the wedge to pry it away. The game thinks you've already watched the cutscene of jumping down and allows you to skip it. Saves a handful of seconds.

**Episode 2: Hallway Skip [All Platforms; Any% and 100%]**

The minimum number of times you need to perform a *trigger skip* is 2 times. You may want to do 3 or 4 times to be safe, but you can skip the dialogue with David and Jefferson this way. Doing both of these saves ~2 minutes.

**Episode 2: Fast Rewind [All Platforms; Any% and 100%]**

Hold down Accelerated Rewind (Default RT on controller) and mash Rewind (Default LT). This saves ~5 seconds if mashed properly.

**Episode 3: Explosive Warp [All Platforms; Any% and 100%]**

When you pick up items to create the pipe bomb to open Principal Wells' door, the game saves the items you've picked up, but not the location where Max is standing. When you pick up the final object and reload from checkpoint, it retains the items, and the default position from loading into these scene is right behind Chloe. This *Checkpoint Warp* saves ~20 seconds from having to walk back to Chloe manually.

There's no special fancy input here, just open the menu and reload the checkpoint.

**Episode 3: Make Out Break Out [All Platforms(?); Any%]**

Doing a *Look Clip* inbounds can give us some fancy effects. Since the game doesn't check for collision when the game gives us control of Max again, we can walk into something, look at the same object, and get placed on top of whatever we clipped into. We then walk from the bed to the chair, and *Wall Shimmy(?)* up the desk and walk out of Chloe's window. Walking towards the left from the window, we drop onto a floor which we can then walk over to the trigger for walking downstairs.

**Episode 3: Make Out Break Out [All Platforms(?); 100%]**

Do the same as above, but instead of going left, go right. *Look Clip* twice with the window and get back """inbounds""", take the photo, then walk downstairs!

**Episode 3: "Breakfastest" Skip [PC Only; Any% and 100%]**

Breakfastest saves around 5 minutes. Instead of having to make and eat breakfast with Joyce, we can walk outside and Wall Shimmy up the board on the fence. Then, run to the front of the Price house. Then we'll fall out of bounds by walking towards the street and then immediately run back towards the garage. At this point, you'll go to the laptop and find the code as normal. Once you've taken a look at David's laptop, you'll go to the door. Once you start the animation for opening the door, you'll need to reload your save, or *Checkpoint Warp*. If you don't reload your save, the game *thinks* Chloe came down and shooed Max off like she should, but there's no model to interact with. Reloading the save makes everything behave normally again.

**Episode 4: Barn Skip [PC Only; Any% Version]**

This skip saves loads of time, but is also the trickiest skip in the game; and it sucks when you're 4+ hours in a run and it dies to this BibleThump . Every runner has their own technique for this skip. You can either use *Look Clips* to get in and out of the barn for your setup, or you can use a *Wall Shimmy* on the sign next to Chloe's truck to get out of bounds. At this point, the skip is the same. You'll make your way from the void to the outside of the Dark Room. Then carefully fall off into the void again, and eventually clip into the floor of the Dark Room.

If you didn't land next to the cabinet, that's okay! You'll be stuck in the floor, just look at something that uses the cinematic camera and Max will be walking on the ground again.

This is much easier than any%. Just *Look Clip* into the barn via the electrical box. Once you're inside, continue as normal by finding the hatch to the Dark Room on the ground. Don't forget your photos!

Just *wall shimmy* a little onto the bench and walk through the DJ equipment.

**Episode 4: Pool Skip [All Platforms; 100% Version (PC); Any%/100% Version (Console)]**

I use this method for 100% because the last photo of the episode (the graffiti in the bathroom) is right next to where it occurs. Do a *Look Clip* towards the VIP table using the glow-sticks as the item you look at. If you've done it right, you'll be clipped into the table. Then look at the glow-sticks or the banner on the curtain. You'll be walking on top of the table now. Do one more *Look Clip* towards the curtain using the banner. You'll clip into the VIP area, but no one is there to party with you. Turn around and walk out of the area, you'll notice that the bodyguard is gone. Turn around again to re-enter the VIP area and all the models will be loaded.

**Episode 5: Intervention [All Platforms?; Any%]**

We honestly have no idea why this one happens. Spamming X/A while Max recovers from looking in her backpack for David's cellphone number will somehow clip Max to the conversation with Jefferson. This saves ~40 seconds.
