The Death engine is one of the only levels with glitches. Right when you load in stick your hand in the gravity controller and grip, you can pull out the crystal. Next, Put your head and hand out of bounds on the left side of the window. once out of your capsule just use telekinesis to move the crystal into the small gap for the magnet to carry away the plate, and keep pushing using telekinesis, once done the cutscene should play and just wait out for it.
