How to Download and install the english patch

Hello, this is a follow up guide to downloading the game. If you haven't already, please read that guide to be able to play the base game. This guide will instruct you on how to install the english patch quickly and easily, lets start.

Step 1:
Firstly, you are going to have to download this small file from media share.

Step 2
Now you're going to want to extract the folder to where ever you want and open it up. Inside you have a text file which details you on what to do next. However I will also put it on here for ease of access but it will be in there words.
	1)   Put "perform-patch.exe", "zlib1.dll", and "daybreak-en.patchz" in the 
	     Higurashi Daybreak Directory.  If you want translated videos, put
 	    any daybreak-vid-en*.patchz files there as well.

	2)   Run "perform-patch.exe" (with Satoko's icon).

	3)   Select daybreak-en.patchz in the window, then click "Apply Patch".

	4)   It should run for a little while, then pop up a "Patch applied 
   	  successfully" window.  Click "OK" in that window.

	5)   If you want translated videos, repeat with the daybreak-vid-en*.patchz
	     files.

	6)   There should now be a file with a name like Daybreak-en.exe or 
	     DaybreakDX-en.exe.  Running that program will start Daybreak in
   	  English.

Please note - There is another english patch in development where they will attempt to translate the entire game, story and all. Please hold on for further information.

To uninstall the english patch please delete all the files with "-en" in their names, perform-patch.exe, zlib1.dll, v6-source/, and Readme-daybreak-en.txt . Thank you and have a good day.

How to Download and play the game (The Safe Way)

Hey hey, in this guide I will show you all the steps necessary to download the game. By following this guide I ensure you a safer and easier experience than looking for it online elsewhere. It's a simple set up once downloaded but I will go over everything to make sure you have no problems.

Step 1:
Please download this file from google drive as normal. It is fairly large being at around 7Gb so please be patient and listen to some nice music while waiting.

Step 2:
Once downloaded, please open it up and navigate yourself to this directory.

Now you will need to open "DaybreakDX" to start the game, not "daybreak".

Congratulations, you can now play Higurashi Daybreak DX! From here you can choose to create a shortcut to the exe file and/or install the english patch which will be explained in another guide. Thank you for reading, have a great time playing the game.
