So, I was messing around and discovered that if you go to the beginning of the bridge past the burning corpse of the wendigo, you can jump off the railing one the left side onto some pipes, allowing you to jump to the staircase on the other side. This will put you right outside of the Merchant Shop, immediately skipping the final third of the marketplace section. No clue if I am the first one to find this or not.
