But this is nonsense, I could just as well sue "src" under the legislation of the Russian Federation under the same article. But what is the point of why this seemingly international organization obeys the laws of the United States. Moreover, if I started an account at 12 and announced it at the age of 18, for example, I would get banned, and I would have to restore all the runs.
no idea why the internet generally follows the us law but id say somewhat mostly it works. actually i think it might be like "lets follow the us law so the site wont be banned there" which doesnt really make sense either as america isnt really a country to ban websites to my knowledge as an america hater
Most countries have some type of law prohibiting collection of data of minors.
@starsmiley it’s also a good idea let their legal guardian and parents to join the site.
@starsmiley I understand what you're talking about, it's really best to allow users to register only 13+, but damn, why would I be banned at 18 if I registered my account at 12 or 11. What's the point? What does it change? Has data collection already taken place, or do I not understand something?
This is an issue which no one has mentioned:
An account created when you are under 13 will be temporarily banned until you turn 13
But, an account created when you were under 13 will be permanently banned, even if you are now over 13
@starsmiley, how is this fair? Someone who is 13+ gets permanently banned, while someone who is <13 gets temporary banned. Where both accounts now meet the age requirement, and both accounts collected data of someone who was <13. The second account shouldn't of been banned at all
Update: @starsmiley has said that they will now permanently ban all users who are found to be under 13. So in both examples that I gave, will both be permanently banned. Although I don't like the outcome, that only the first should be banned, it is now more consistent
@newadwardalt, this is probably due to @Slothboy78YT now no longer being 11. Also, you could report him again in Support Hub, if you want, or DM @starsmiley. Since she's probably not gonna respond here again. I'm sure that there is a reason behind his unban.
remove my SRC supporter on @AdwardSRCSupporter
I think that you're probably still not paying, that site staff would of cancelled it for you.
According to sloth he was never underaged and you fabricated screenshots in order to get him banned. I have no idea if that is true, but I do know that you've been constantly harassing slothboy for months on end for seemingly no reason, so it's not unbelievable.
- I can sue ELO for violating various laws of the Russian Federation and win it, the point is that the maximum possible punishment is the blocking of resources on the territory of the Russian Federation (I can sue, but it's stupid and useless)
- Why should I follow US laws if I am not a citizen of this country.
