Today rolls in some changes and additions to the rule set.

Game Speed

Game Speed has been added as a new variable when submitting an individual level run. The options being Fast, Default or Classic.

This comes as a change from the previous ruling that asked you to use the "Default" game speed. This was most likely written by me four years a go.

I see the change personally to be necessary as the Game Speed setting page is not present in a normal video submission and thus is hard to enforce. This is also the speedrun page for this game, not your leisure driving page! What sort of speedrun page doesn't allow for the fastest game settings to be used? Challenge mode runs additionally never had this limitation.

Existing runs are currently left blank. The submissions will have to be manually edited to have the game speed variable added to them, I'll get around to it in time...

Rules

"Game rules" now has stuff written there - check them out. That section was blank before. These do not add any extra limitations to your submissions. Most importantly asking you to use an unmodified game. Things like changing health values of vehicles is strictly forbidden.

Some phrasing of the rules are subject to change in the future but any major rule changes or additions will have their own separate news articles. If you have any concerns or questions, please do let me hear them. Create a new thread, ping me on Discord (I am tekt there as well). Do both if necessary.

Hello everyone! I know it took a while (I sort of forgot), but the Speed events have been added into the IL leaderboard in both variations, Summer (forwards) and Autumn (backwards). Happy time hunting!
