The idea has existed for a while though: finish the game without equipping any weapon, armor, or shield, or extras like the Fighter's Ring or Dragon Scale.

The question, of course, is: what about RNG manipulation? It'll probably need split categories just like Any%, because I don't see why someone couldn't route the game manipulated without equipment (even if it would be quite different from the Any% run).

I personally feel any category outside of true any% should be no RNG manipulation. Naked% with manipulation would essentially be the same as the current any% with the only difference being an extended metal slime grind.

It would be quite a long MS grind, however. What needs to be determined is at which level a RNG manip'd run would get to DL, if you take into consideration the damage tiles in DL's castle. As long as you can offset the damage (6 herbs) and keep your MP diving in, it would be a matter of perhaps 5 more levels.

So yeah, if that happens, it should be in a different category.
