Hello friends,
This thread is a place to add any new discoveries, shortcuts, tricks, and ideas to work on. Here we can add so far the resolution descale code and any hotkeys we find useful. I will also include this google drive.

Dilly mostly put it together. Every save point in the game to practice any point. Some may be obsolete given routing but here they are. All the best!
Finally, having save points is huge! I've been super burnt out after countless resets not even getting to Copernicus but hopefully I'll be up for more runs soon.
Hello everyone! I forgot to post this, but here is a new skip I found recently for the elevator at the end of Reinhold. It saves about 10 seconds, maybe more if you're quick. I also found that you can do sleepys with the ASE by touching the ASE to the screen, but I'm not sure if that's helpful anywhere else in the run.
Dilly, what's your process for routing the game? I'm interested in it since doing only runs can be demotivating sometimes.
It's a fairly tedious process as well.
The main thing I start with is looking for areas of the run we haven't done much with like Fesenkov or the space station for example.
Then I think about the end goal for the map or section of the map. So in Fesenkov, the end goal might be interacting with the chair or ladder in the rocket, but there can be subgoals like getting through the gate to get to the rocket elevator.
Some goals are just not possible until you do something else like the "Activate Monorail" button in Reinhold only appears after you align both towers. However, the rocket elevator in Fesenkov likely doesn't rely on anything other than being in reach of the button. If we could clip through the gate, then we could probably get directly to the rocket without needing to complete the long process of opening it. So I try to find goals that require the least amount of workarounds and have that biggest payout. I'm sure there are also a ton of smaller time saves in the run that aren't as hard to find, and those are important as well because they build up throughout the run.
Then it's just a matter of using either the glitches we already know, or playing around with things in unusual ways until you get somewhere. Maybe we should have a spreadsheet of all known glitches/skips in here as well (even the ones we haven't used in the run).
Sometimes I will be spam grabbing an object or ramming the rover into random places or jumping into a wall for 2 hours straight with no results, but it is very statisfying when something happens.
It's probably also useful to know common game developement mistakes, or even better, having the source code for the game to potentially find some loopholes in the logic. That's another tedious process in itself, but I wouldn't be opposed to someone trying it out.
Anyways, I would love to see more people routing the game or finding game-changing glitches, so have at it.
Dilly, your commitment is astonishing. Two days ago i tried fesenkov for one hour straight to find a way to get a Clip through the gate or a setup with the ladder. I got nowhere and was like, "ok at least i tried". And you still find things to this Day! i see a sub 50 in the near future :)
Yes and using a cheat engine to find out information on a potential skip is a method we’ve used in the past, which is how we know the rocket chair is available in fesenkov from the start. The invisible wall above the gate only goes so high and leaping over it would allow us to skip that section. But we’ve all tried to find a setup with the staircase to get a launch to no avail. With some more manpower who knows what will happen anywhere in the game.
Hey there,
I tried the Elevator Skip today, and I noticed that if you are fast enough and the ASE is not with you in the airlock, you just need to point at the direction like in dillys video and the glitch also works, without the need to bring the ase to the corner of the elevator. It's like 2 out of 3 times or something.
Greetings :)
Speaking of our talk on Fesenkov, I have found a way to get out of bounds. Not much progress on skipping the gate, but it could lead somewhere. It also might not save much time if this method is used, but I haven't timed that yet either.
Have you tried the old tech of jumping into the invisible wall and turning the camera to de load it and turn back like we did in Tombaugh at the centrifuge room?
Unfortunately, the big wall is solid, so the turning head method just gets you stuck from what I've tried. There is a way to get underneath the gate while on top of the ceilings of the lower rooms, but you'd still have to find a way to move upwards.
