Why do speedrunners use the Japanese language when speedrunning first debt.
I’ve looked at many first debt speed runs and so many use japanese. Why is this? Even non-japanese players use that language. Also, i’m not saying it’s bad i’m just confused

Previously the rule said: "Timer ends on the regaining control of your character after talking to Tom Nook and paying off your first debt."
This was a little ambiguous, as some runs stopped the timer when the final text box cleared:
