Peta peta is a Roblox horror game made by omochistudio that requires you to explore an abandoned hotel while surviving the threat itself, peta peta. It sounds simple but newcomers still have difficulty playing considering the lack of guidance on the internet.

The basics

What is this game? How to win?

Entering the game, :

First you have to enter the game, after that you will see the queue to play the game, there are three types of queue you can choose from, solo queue, trio queue, and quad queue. Each of them has a different waiting time depending on what queue you are on, solo is 5 seconds, trio is 15 seconds, and quad is 25 seconds. After you choose one of the three queues you will enter the 'Real' game.
upon entering the 'real' game youll be spawned at the abandoned hotel, alongside with your four other friends if you decide to play quad or trio. The goal here is to kill peta peta in order to proceed into the next phase.
The game is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3. You win when you have killed peta peta three times A.K.A completed all three phases.
There are many rooms in the abandoned hotel, in almost every room there is also a wardrobe that you can use to hide if the peta peta comes

Behavior, :

peta peta appears after 2 minutes of each new phase, the timer started right after you spawn into the new phase based on what i read at This text, credit for that guy, meaning in the first 2 min after entering a new phase is a safetime, dont worry, just run.
You outrun her in the first phase and also the second phase, but not in the third phase because in that phase her crawling speed exceeds the player's running speed.
She can spawn directly behind or in front of you if you are playing with 2 or more players.

Strategy

i cant say anything about her, because all the mechanic in this game is hiding so, if she spawn just hide, however in phase 1 you can just outrun her if you want, not recommended tho.

Items

The developer provides items to help players finish the game, but in the game there are also items for progression. Here is the item information blow.

Items that can be purchased, :

There are a total of four items that can be purchased, including, :
Better flashlight (Cost 150 Zeni, giving players a better flashlight that can improve their vision, one time use, expired after the game ends)
Onigiri (Cost 400 Zeni, regain stamina faster, one time use expired after the game ends, required for the i love onigiri badge)
Party poppers (Cost 100 zeni, can stun the peta peta if used near peta peta, single time use but can be stacked up to 5, required to get the party badge)
Spray paint (Cost 500 Zeni, Give you a spray can containing 50% spray that can be used to mark important rooms, buy it twice to get 100% spray amount)

Items that can be found ingame(Quest item)

There are a total of 2 items that can be found in the game, including, :
Key (Used to open locked boxes containing the ofuda)
Ofuda (Used to kill peta, Can be placed on the floor or on the wall)

Phase

In the content table for the "Basics" section, we already know how to win the game, namely by going through the three existing phases, now I will explain the phases.

Phase 1

In this phase you have to find two things, namely the box and the key. Keys can be found in drawers, corners of rooms, and under carpets. Meanwhile, the box can be found in a broken cupboard and such.

After you find the box and the keys, simply just take the key, open the box, take the ofuda and place it. Then you're done, congrats.

Phase 2

Phase 2 is almost the same as phase 1 but you cant find the keys around the hotels anymore, instead you need to find a code that is placed on the wall in a random room and look for a SAFELOCK, The safelock is in a random room, and can only be opened using the code found. Inside the safelock there is a key that can open the box, you can find the box the same way as phase 1.

Phase 3

This is it, the most difficult phase, ||(warning in this phase it will appear more often, crawl very quickly, and add new monsters.)|| In phase 3 you need to do all the same steps as before, mainly, :
Find a box
Find the key
open the box and take the OFUDA
place the ofuda on the wall or on the floor
you win.

But now with additional requirements. It's the same as phase 2 but the way you need to get the code is different. Now the code will not randomly appear at the adjacent room, instead you need to look for some sort of storage room filled up with broken cabinets and tables. If you go inside that room youll notice there is a hole inside, if you peek into the hole youll see a hanging corpse.

Already scared? No, don't be scared just yet. You need to stare into that hole for approximately 7 seconds and then you get a jumpscare from the baby face anomaly(Click these to go to the original source for the baby face image). The second you get the jumpscare press return so you don't die. If successful, when you look back into the hole, it will show a combination code for SAFELOCK.

After that do all the previous phase steps, put the code to the safelock, take the keys, get the box, open the box, get the ofuda, place it, then chat "I win" at general chat

If you are in a life or death situation and there is no place to hide, use 2-5 party poppers to stun peta peta then walk/run towards her while shooting the party poppers. She will be stunned and you're safe to walk through her, and you're immune to her attack during the stun duration.
If you buy onigiri, just always running, because the stamina re-speed is fast enough to make your stamina bar full-filled in a few seconds after you stop running.
since peta peta will never spawn in the first 2 min of every phase(Except if you get the key before the 2 min Time) you can use this 2 min to always run, combined with onigiri, this will make a great combo for speedruning.
you don't actually need to press return on the babyface hole, use joystick(for mobile) or WASD key(for pc) instead, it will make the minigame easier, trust me.
since the hiding place is limited, the best player count to begin speedrun is three, since they can share up the work very well. One look for the code, one holds the safe, one holds the box. And the worst can be either solo, or quad(5)
you can use Floating stopwatch To track the first 2 minutes in each phase, extremely useful. Or you can instead just look for the time on your phone.
It's better to inform others before taking any keys, better than saying sorry.

highly recommended to just run rather than hiding from peta peta in phase 1. Because her crawl speed is so slow, you don't need a reason to hide.
It is highly recommended to play the game with characters that are not labeled "Blocky". Because some of the hiding places are not suitable for that character.

if you happened to pick up a key then peta peta Spawn right outside of your room, do nothing, exactly nothing, she will not kill you and then walk past like nothing happened, i dont know why but i think there is an immunity system that is activated for a few seconds after she spawns(Not proved, might be bug or false information)

It is highly recommended to prioritize the code in phase 3, use that 2 minutes time delay between peta peta spawned to get the code.
Intervals override is a strategy that works when you're taking the key while Peta peta is crawling around(Appeared) so she doesn't spawn twice because the first interval overrides the key interval.
