I was just wondering something serious. Are any of the characters OP, or are they all pretty balanced? Because I noticed nobody runs as Meta Knight, and according to the internet, he's the most unfair combatant of them all. Again, just wondered. I thought it'd be interesting to discuss character strategies and figure out the fastest one to use. :D

Meta Knight is known as being really good competitively but that doesn't always translate to being good for speedruns. For example in Melee the best character in competitive is usually said to be Fox, but Jigglypuff and Ganondorf are usually seen in the fastest speedruns because even though they aren't as good as characters they can get quicker kills on CPUs.

That basically sums up what my response was going to be. Although i will add that brawl has a very unbalanced metagame. But that's for competitive smash, so i don't know how to compare that to speedrunning.

The only character-related discussion I want to start is that i'm not shure if we should split up Pokemon Trainer into Charizard, Squirtle and Ivysaur. They are very different to each other and they should probally be split up. The only problem is if you die with one of them, it goes to the next slot (which doesn't happen to Sheik/Zelda), so I'm not really shure (but you can directly switch back so I don't really know)

Eh, good points. As far as the Pokemon go, probably should just keep them all into one unless someone comes up who happens to be a Squirtle runner, Ivysaur runner, or Charizard runner. As far as Zelda/Sheik, those could be split up without a problem imo. I, for example, prefer Sheik because I think she's faster and has better recovery. Her smash attacks are meh, but I still think she's better than Zelda. If Meta truly is Over-powered, I don't see it. Of course I never got to see him competitively in Brawl so I can't comment on him. I would think Jigglypuff is, however. I've heard its sleep attack OHKO's better than Game & Watch can, but comes with a very tiny hit-area.

So I decided on splitting Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard from Pokemon Trainer because of the new tec. found in Boss Battles. And actually for no other reason OpieOP . Oh, and I added milliseconds for the sake of having IL's be more accurate.

You know it gets real when the milliseconds get added. This game might become canon. d Kappa b

So apperently I noticed that I forgot the entire third row of characters when I was making the list of characters, so I added them now, so that was a mistake on my part.

I didn't even notice. -_-
