I was doing attempts at the wall clip when Mario started moving forward a dozen pixels. Could this be useful in a level like 4-2? Someone explain this please!
I really don't know what i'm trying to see here
Its small, just a few pixels, but mario moves forwards a couple of extra pixels right before the pipe, in mid air Edit:try watching at a slower speed
It's just his animation when he hits the wall then his feet start moving faster then goes normal cause he's walking at the wall
If I'm not mistaken, this happens near exit pipes/passable walls. It's something you try to avoid in SMB2-J when performing the 1-2 wall jump
@caleb2112 thanks, and Yes it just happened again in 4 2 at before the w5 during a warpless
@AR007 I was thinking this, I never run warpless but I could vaguely remember hitting the block directly above the last pirhana in 4-2 and seeing the screen stutter. Idk if you actually lose any frames going into the pipe, but in 2-j you typically don't want his x-position to move right any during the walljump bit so you can enter the warp zone pipe without waiting on the plant to load/lower. Would be cool to find a practical use for it, but it does seem kinda random in an RTA setting.
Hey Folks!

- Timing starts from power-on/reset (or game select if you're using one of the combo cartridges).
- Timing ends on grabbing the axe on the 11th run.
- Time betw
