So basically my question is are things like the RetroDuo or RetroTrio+ or Retron5 Allowed or are you required to use original consoles. Also the RetroDuo/Trio use actual nes hardware while the retron5 uses emulation, but would you put both the consoles under emulation?

A lot of the clone consoles are notoriously inaccurate. For many games, it might not be a big deal to use those. However, for a game as optimized as this one where milliseconds are significant, we have elected not to accept those. We maintain the same ruleset for all skill levels to keep things fair.

The emulators we allow are perfectly accurate.
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
