Change to Super Mario Advance 4 rules and leaderboards from 02.10.2023
Posted
byHello everyone, after discussions with SpicyNoodles we would like to announce changes to the Super Mario Advance 4 leaderboards, I recommend seeing the rules before running
Changes:
- From now on the Console/EMU subcategory has been removed and console runs with Emulator runs are together in the leaderboard:
- We now require the GBA BIOS and the use of a soft/hard reset at the start to prove that the GBA welcome screen has been shown is also intended to improve the consistency of loading times, not 100% but it is the only one at the moment that can give us that consistency for now.
- The rule for using the E-reader has been added.
- Improved milliseconds for Any%, in the other categories we will also measure from a given time.
- Runs on emulators will get a 20 second penalty due to faster loading times for Any%, if we have left out somewhere let us know and we will add 20 seconds to that run, for the other categories we will think.
There are a few more but these are minor rules, you can see in the game rules.
