So I have been playing this version of Sim City for about a week now.. and I have found that through all the maps, that Map #086 has the most land mass (or so it seems) and through playing the map itself with the other popular maps here.. I have gotten Megalopolis only to work on Map #086.

if played right, you can also do it on Map #777 but you'd have to be very careful.

Also if you look at Map #086 from this version and look at Map #061 from the SNES Version, they look like allot similar.

I've gotten Megaropolis ~5 times on map 802.

It's definitely not the BEST map by far, but it's VT's area code, so I've kinda adopted it and learned how to work it.

777 really has an advantage for speedrunning almost all the other categories (based on the less than 20 total maps I've seen/used) Honestly, I haven't been able to Megaropolis 777 yet though. It's harder to manage it's land value and growth at full-map scale to improve population. Also keep having random-ish power bugs/outages a lot (on all maps granted, but really hurts when you don't have real estate for more plants).

How I metagate that is by using the same basic rules of the SNES version of the game. However, I have in the last few attempts been able to attain 653,000 on map #086.
But another reason I claim 086 being the best map, is the fact of from looking at all the maps, it seems to have the most land mass.
