What categories should be added? Is there a 100% possibility, and should we split any% for barrier skip? Runners give thoughts here pls

I'm cool with the categories being separated. Maybe "Any% No OoB" would be appropriate. This is pretty cool though, might be worth coming back to this game now :)

I think splitting the categories would be good, as No OoB is still a good category. I've never 100%'d the game so I'm neither here or there about it.

100% would be cool with clip strats though, if the clip ends up being faster, since going to Merlin gives you all of the upgrades. I hope someone decides to TAS this game some day, the NPC speed boost glitch is ridiculous

Is the old any% ~35min completely oob-less?

yeah, roughly. my sum of best is 28:30ish though, and I think sub 28 is possible

But all runs before yesterday did not go out of bounds, correct?

Not to my knowledge, there are no other uses for OoB anyway, so far. And I mean, it's not really OoB anyway, just a clip. But there haven't been any runs where a clip strat was used. My run before barrier skip did not at all.

For a no barrier skip run, the only thing that might be faster is possibly a clip into ice queen fight, if that ends the Molasses sewers level sooner. It might not though. 

I think No Barrier Skip, No Levels Early, or Any% Glitchless would be better names. Getting through a whole run without a glitch can be kind of hard though, as the boost glitches can happen pretty randomly. There is the slight chance that the boost can actually push you in a direction you'd want to go, so the first two suggestions might be better suited.

I think as a general rule we need to keep the word "glitchless" as far away as possible. I'll make it NLE for now, and if you all change your mind let us know.

So I finally 100%'d the game, would you guys be down to add All Eggs and 100% to the categories?

All Eggs would require grabbing all of the Eggs, and defeating Merlin. i don't think we should ban barrier skip for this, as it is theoretically faster to just grab all the eggs from each level and then clip to the next level, and repeating that. I will just be doing a run with no clips though, as I still think the clips are pretty random. I also don't think we should necessarily ban the in-game cheats either, as this can make it easier to get some eggs. I don't think it's faster though. Maybe it is.

100% is just filling the in-game percentage to 100%, which would be grabbing all faeries, easter eggs, and doing all quests. Again I don't think we should ban clips or in-game cheats. 

Each of them definitely need to start from a new file, so if you want to use in-game cheats, you'll need to beat Merlin first. 

We could maybe make an All Faeries category, but getting the faeries is kind of annoying. I'll do a run of it if we add it, but yeah. For now i'll just be routing All Eggs and 100%

One thing I never mentioned while talking about this stuff is that you only unlock the cheats once you beat Merlin, so that was my reasoning for allowing them. If people want, I can make subcategories for those categories for No Cheats and w/Cheats. For some eggs and faeries it's definitely better and faster to grab them while having infinite gas and fire, as well as low gravity. The only thing is that normally you're not suppose to be able to use the cheats until you beat Merlin, in which if you do so the intended way, requires you to beat all main quests. So if anyone shows interest in changing them, or if someone wants to run No Cheats for any of the categories, feel free. I do have no cheat runs for every category that I allowed them (100% and All Eggs), but All Eggs is one that I feel shouldn't be a huge deal with using cheats, since you can theoretically collect those without messing with the main quests, other than a select few (such as in Blue Dragon's Castle and Crown Prince's Castle). Cheats compared to No Cheats for All Eggs would only save roughly 3 or 4 minutes, I think. Another option for All Eggs is All Eggs NLE, but I feel like overall it wouldn't be entirely that much more interesting than regular NLE. Either way, feel free to let me know how you all feel about it.

Also, should we maybe do something about setting up a leaderboard for Xbox Shrek since the two games are sorta different? or should we maybe consider making Xbox and Gamecube Categories? (Such as Any% XL, 100% XL, etc.)

I have elected to actually ban cheats from 100% now since I think overall they wouldn't save a ton of time, just makes some parts a little easier. I think if someone shows interest in running the game with cheats obtained from using barrier skip to fight merlin early, then maybe it'd be worth adding, but for now it's probably best to ban them since it'd take a quick clip to save time compared to an optimized hundo run

Can we get a Category Extension for getting into the hidden GameCube map?

Sadly I think that category would be a bit arbitrary, since the most optimal way to have this happen is a speed boost glitch through the walls or floor of the tutorial level, so it'd just be resetting over and over again until you got lucky enough to clip fast enough. It would only take ~15 seconds from starting a new file.
